About the position

This position will manage, and co-ordinate research activities associated with the NHMRC-funded project “Treatment pathways and nonoperative management for ACL injuries”, led by Associate Professor Adam Culvenor. Research activities will include a range of mixed-methods studies (e.g., surveys, qualitative interviews, rehabilitation-based intervention co-design, clinical trials) exploring treatment pathways following ACL injury and new nonoperative interventions.

The projects and position reside in the La Trobe Sport and Exercise Medicine (LASEM) Research Centre, School of Allied Health, Human Services and Sport.

The successful candidate is expected to be based onsite at LASEM (La Trobe University, Melbourne Campus – Bundoora).

Working from home can be arranged (if appropriate), but regular attendance at La Trobe University is encouraged to foster excellence in research culture.

Skills and Experience

  • Completion of a PhD or equivalent qualifications or research experience in an area related to sports medicine/musculoskeletal health.
  • A record of publications, conference papers and/or reports, or professional or technical contributions which provide evidence of strong research potential.
  • Sound analytical skills with an ability to communicate complex information clearly both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to liaise effectively with a range of collaborators nationally and/or internationally and with industry partners.
