La Trobe University is looking for a Senior Manager, Data Insights to lead high-visibility projects and enable data-driven decisions across the institution.
Why This Role?
As a key leader in our Finance, Procurement & Data Analytics division, you will be involved in high-impact, high-profile projects including:
- Drive the Strategic Workforce Planning project, influencing key workforce decisions across the university.
- Support gender equity reporting, including data submissions to the Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA) and the Commission for Gender Equality in the Public Sector (CGEPS), as well as Science in Australia Gender Equity (SAGE) accreditation, helping share our commitment to equity and compliance.
- Engage and collaborate with senior leaders to ensure data insights drive real action.
- Build relationships across diverse stakeholder groups, translating complex data into meaningful recommendations.
- Manage high-impact data projects from inception to execution.
What We’re Looking For:
You will be able to demonstrate the following essential skills:
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills—you will influence, advise, and collaborate with leaders at all levels.
- Expertise in data analytics, visualization (SQL, Power BI, Tableau, R), and performance reporting.
- Proven ability to translate complex data into strategic insights and effectively communicate findings.
- Experience in HR analytics and compliance reporting is a plus.
