About the position
The Senior Coordinator, Industry Engagement Events will report to the Manager, Marketing and Communications within Enterprise development, and will work closely and collaboratively with colleagues within the Industry Engagement Team, and across the Research and Industry Engagement portfolio.
The role supports the creation and delivery of events for the engagement with internal stakeholders (including students, researchers, professional staff and alumni) and external industry stakeholders including but not limited to the seminars, workshops, conferences, community events, programs promotion and other engagement activities across multiple sites and digitally. The role is key in the planning, implementation and delivery of Industry Engagement events including event logistics and post-event reporting and analysis.
The Senior Coordinator, Industry Engagement Events works within a small team that is accountable and actively promotes an industry ecosystem of research, entrepreneurship programs, innovation hubs, commercialisation and co-location opportunities across La Trobe Campuses and its regional communities.
Key activities will include planning, stakeholder engagement, relationship management and events. This role will support development, application, monitoring and reporting of events KPIs.
Skills and Experience
• Previous experience using Content Management Systems such as SquizMatrix, and EDM platforms like Mail Chimp or Adobe Campaigns, Event Management Platforms like EventBrite.
• Assist with organising and managing events management, as required including support digital assets, event day coordination, room bookings, catering, invitations, online support etc.
• Undertaking document management of event documentation to support team and senior leadership visibility on event planning status, risk management and data collection.
• Completion of a degree in business (marketing and or event management); or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
• Has a deep understanding events experience and expertise and solutions developing engagement activities -4 years’ experience.
• Experience in technology current event trends and decision-making regarding spaces, online and F2F platforms, delivery methods and event technology requirements.
• Experience in organising the development and coordination of seminars, workshops and other events.
