In this pivotal role, you will identify, assess, and manage security vulnerabilities across a complex digital landscape, playing a key role in protecting the university’s critical infrastructure.
About the Role
Reporting to the Associate Director, Cyber Security Operations, you will:
- Develop and operationalise a comprehensive vulnerability management framework
- Lead vulnerability scans, penetration testing, and third-party security assessments
- Collaborate across departments to prioritise and remediate security risks
- Provide strategic guidance to university stakeholders on vulnerability-related matters
- Deliver training and awareness programs to foster a strong security culture
- Stay ahead of emerging threats and drive proactive mitigation strategies
- Provide regular reporting and performance analysis on vulnerability posture
About You
You bring:
- A degree in cybersecurity, IT, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Demonstrated experience in vulnerability management and penetration testing
- Strong technical knowledge of vulnerability assessment tools and techniques
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Relevant certifications (e.g. CEH, OSCP, GIAC) highly desirable
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities and deliver strategic outcomes
- A collaborative mindset, and a commitment to innovation, accountability, and inclusion
