About the position
This position is fixed term to replace a staff member going on parental leave.
The Operations Coordinator, Library, reports to the Manager, Library Operations, and plays a key role in supporting the operational, administrative, and project needs of the University Library. The position is responsible for processing financial transactions, analysing and interpreting data, including financial, resource and service information, to prepare reports, submissions, and presentations, and provide informed advice to senior staff. This position often requires interpreting complex regulations, policies, or procedures and advising on solutions to support continuous improvement and problem resolution.
Additional responsibilities include actively participating in and providing executive and business support for day-to-day transactional functions, Library operations, planning, projects and initiatives. The position also provides analysis and limited operational support to the University Copyright Office as needed.
Skills and Experience
To be considered for this position, you will have demonstrated strong analytical skills for interpreting data, proficiency in software systems for finance transactions, providing support to budget management and reporting, and the ability to understand and apply relevant policies and procedures. You should be adept at setting priorities, monitoring workflows, organising tasks efficiently, and delivering timely results both independently and within a team. High-level computer literacy, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a commitment to customer service and a solutions-focused approach, are also essential.
