About the position
The Australian Research Centre in Sex, Health and Society (ARCSHS) is a leading research and knowledge translation centre housed in the School of Psychology and Public Health at La Trobe University. The position of Research Officer will be responsible for providing support across a number of qualitative research projects on sexual, domestic and family violence, with a focus on LGBTQ+ communities.
To be considered for this position, you will have;
Skills and Experience
- Completion of a PhD or equivalent qualifications or research experience
- Experience in sexual, domestic and family violence research
- Demonstrated understanding of ethical and methodological considerations when researching sensitive topics with LGBTQ+ communities
- Excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- Qualitative data collection, analysis, and management skills, including familiarity with relevant software (e.g., NVivo)
- Ability to build and maintain respectful, collaborative relationships with community partners.
