About the position
A Level B with a teaching and research appointment will contribute to the design and development of curriculum, teach and support students in their learning, and engage in relevant research. In addition, this role will support the administrative functions of the discipline and contribute to a culture of high performance.
This position sits within the Discipline of Podiatry in the Department of Physiotherapy, Podiatry and Prosthetics and Orthotics. The Discipline of Podiatry offers a four-year Bachelor of Podiatry (Hons) degree, and graduates leave with a recognised endorsement to prescribe scheduled medicines.
Skills and Experience
To be considered for this position, you will have;
- Demonstrated competence in teaching and curriculum development.
- Evidence of high quality and/or high impact research conducted and published or otherwise disseminated, relative to opportunity.
- Ability to supervise, or co-supervise, honours and postgraduate students.
- High level organisational skills with the ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, initiate and follow-up actions, all with minimal or no supervision.
- High level verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to interact effectively with people from a diverse range of backgrounds.
- Experience in the preparation of research proposal submissions to external funding bodies and evidence of success in securing research funding.
- Ability to teach in the discipline’s key areas.
- PhD or equivalent accreditation and standing recognised by the University/profession as appropriate for the relevant discipline areas.
- Completed or completing endorsement to prescribe scheduled medicines.
- Clinical expertise in paediatric podiatry
