About the position
This position sits within the Future Growth Portfolio, which plays a pivotal role in delivering enrolment and onboarding for learners through targeted project initiatives. The portfolio works in close collaboration with other portfolios, academic schools, and regional campuses to enhance the University’s brand, profile, and reputation within the communities we serve. Its strategic focus is on attracting and nurturing a high-quality, inclusive, diverse, and sustainable student pipeline across all campuses.
Reporting to the Manager for Admissions, the Senior Officer Admissions is responsible for providing administrative support to the Admissions team. This role will work closely with peers and across teams to ensure a consistent approach to customer service delivery and consistent application of transactional activities and associated procedures. This includes responsibility for Undertaking accurate and timely data entry and processing of large volume and high-pressure admission activities, reporting, quality assurance, continuous development and collaborative knowledge sharing practices.
The incumbent will undertake a variety of functions which are specified in the annual performance plan. Admissions staff are required to employ and maintain a professional, positive and solution-orientated approach across all work practices and daily interactions.
Skills and Experience
To be considered for this position, you will have;
- Completion of a degree without subsequent relevant work experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
- Ability to innovate and take responsibility for outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to set priorities and monitor workflows within own area of responsibility.
- Demonstrated capacity to organise work effectively and efficiently and deliver outputs in a timely manner.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, follow established procedures with limited supervision and contribute positively to an effective team.
- High level proficiency in computer software packages including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, electronic mail, and the use of the internet as a research tool.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated customer service focus and solution orientated approach.
