About the position

The position of Senior Executive Support plays an important role in the Office of the DVCRI and provides a high level of professional executive assistance and administrative support to the DVCRI and, at times, other executives within the Research and Industry Engagement Portfolio.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Office of the DVCRI, the position analyses and collates information in order to provide executive support to these critical positions within the University. The incumbent will ensure the DVCRI is prepared and informed on relevant matters in a timely manner. This includes researching, preparing and ensuring responses to emails, diary requests and phone calls occur in a timely manner. In providing this support the position collaborates with the DVCRIE Portfolio administrative support staff and administrative support staff across the University, and external partners.

The incumbent will work as part of a team, contribute significantly to the efficient functioning of the Office of the DVCRI and observe a high standard of confidentiality.

 

Skills and Experience

To be considered for this position, you will have;

  • Degree with relevant experience or extensive experience in an administrative field, or an equivalent combination of knowledge, training, and experience.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office and general computer applications, including database applications and AI and online collaboration tools.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and liaise effectively with people at all levels.
  • Demonstrated planning and organisational skills, with the ability to coordinate work, manage a busy schedule, and meet competing deadlines.
  • Capacity to handle matters tactfully, discreetly, and with strict confidentiality.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively within a team.
