La Trobe University is seeking an experienced and strategically minded Manager, Quality and Accreditation to lead accreditation and quality assurance activities for La Trobe Business School.

This senior professional role is critical to shaping and embedding best‑practice quality frameworks, ensuring compliance with national and international accreditation standards, and supporting the School’s strategic objectives in a complex and dynamic higher education environment.

About the role

Reporting within the Office of the Provost, you will oversee and continuously enhance the Business School’s accreditation and quality assurance frameworks across multiple disciplines and accreditation bodies. You will provide expert advice to senior leaders, academic staff and professional teams, while leading high‑level research, data analysis, reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.

The role requires a strong balance of strategic thinking, operational delivery and stakeholder engagement, with a focus on translating complex accreditation requirements into effective, sustainable systems and processes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and coordinating all accreditation and quality assurance activities for the Business School
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant national and international accreditation bodies, including preparation of formal submissions and coordination of site visits
  • Providing strategic, evidence‑based advice to senior leadership and key internal stakeholders
  • Leading continuous improvement initiatives, including large‑scale data collection, analysis and reporting
  • Monitoring trends, risks and opportunities in the quality and accreditation landscape to inform proactive responses
  • Developing, reviewing and embedding policies, frameworks and processes aligned to sector best practice
  • Representing the University in external forums, professional networks and accreditation engagements
  • Building and maintaining productive relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, including international partners

About you

You will be an accomplished quality and accreditation professional with strong leadership capability and a deep understanding of the higher education environment.

You will bring to the role:

  • A relevant degree with extensive management experience, or postgraduate qualifications with substantial relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of knowledge and expertise
  • Demonstrated experience leading accreditation and quality assurance processes, preferably within a business school or higher education context (e.g. AACSB, PRME or discipline‑level accreditations)
  • Strong project and program management skills, including advanced data analysis and reporting capability
  • Proven ability to think strategically, manage complexity and drive continuous improvement
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence, negotiate and collaborate at senior levels
  • Experience preparing high‑quality documentation and providing clear, timely advice to diverse audiences
  • A strong understanding of the Australian and international higher education landscape, including TEQSA, AQF and the Higher Education Standards Framework
