This Level C position can be Teaching Focused or Teaching and Research.
A Level C teaching focused academic is expected to develop curriculum, teach and undertake other scholarly work relevant to the development of their discipline or professional field.
A Level C teaching and research academic is expected to develop curriculum, teach and/or undertake research or other scholarly work relevant to the development of their discipline or professional.
An academic at this level will make a significant contribution to the discipline at the national level. They will normally play a major role or provide a significant degree of leadership in scholarly and/or professional activities relevant to the profession
The position holder will also undertake the role of Coordinator of Professional Experience, providing leadership in the design, coordination, and continuous improvement of professional experience programs. This includes oversight of placement processes, partnerships with schools, and the development of high-quality, practice-based learning experiences for pre-service teachers (PSTs), in collaboration with the Associate Dean, Partnerships and relevant operational teams
