Salary: €65,300 - €97,900 / £69,105 - £81,406  and a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.

The Role:

As a Lead Developer within the Airtricity Infrastructure & Integration Platform team, you will collaborate with fellow developers using Agile methodologies to digitise SSE Airtricity’s web and mobile solutions, lead API rewrites, and support AI integration. This role blends technical leadership with people management responsibilities.

You Will:

  • Line-manage a team of developers, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback.
  • Deliver scalable solutions by designing, developing, and implementing complex software systems including API rewrites, Azure AD B2B integrations, and identity frameworks for web and mobile platforms ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.
  • Drive AI integration by identifying use cases, selecting appropriate Azure AI services (e.g., Azure OpenAI, Cognitive Services), and collaborating with stakeholders to prototype, and implement intelligent features such as chatbots, predictive analytics, or smart search.
  • Collaborate across teams by working closely with Product Owners, Delivery Leads, and stakeholders to align technical solutions with business goals, and by participating in code reviews and architectural discussions.
  • Possess experience establishing and maintaining coding standards, best practices, and architectural patterns, while mentoring junior team members. Prior team leadership experience is preferred.

You have:

  • Proven experience leading development teams, with expertise in building robust and scalable applications using .NET Core, C#.NET, RESTful APIs, JWT, OAuth 2.0, OpenID, Azure AD B2C (Customer Identity and Access Management), GraphQL, Blazor, and object-oriented programming. A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience) is preferred.
  • A strong .NET development background with a focus on Microsoft Azure cloud services, including serverless solutions using Azure Functions, integration orchestration with Azure Service Bus and Logic Apps, and CI/CD automation via Azure DevOps.
  • Hands-on experience integrating AI services into enterprise applications, particularly using Microsoft Azure AI tools such as Azure OpenAI, Cognitive Services, or Machine Learning Studio.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and develop scalable cloud-based applications, with a solid understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and database systems (SQL and NoSQL). Azure certification is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, with experience establishing and maintaining coding standards, best practices, and architectural patterns, while mentoring junior team members. Prior team leadership experience is preferred.
