The role

SSEN Transmission are looking for a Lead Resource Controller to join in our goal of Net Zero.

The Lead Resource Controller will be responsible for enhancing the current warehousing and material support to the Transmission Operations field teams. This role will help the existing resources carry out further support tasks such as oil management, LOLER inspections, and tool management. This will allow our maintenance and operational teams to focus on their primary role of maintaining and operating the network.

You will

- Co-ordinate a small team of resource controllers, reporting to the Operations Logistic Warehouse and Transport Manager and delegating tasks as and when required.

- Ensure our Transmission business warehouse facilities comply with all levels of Health and Safety legislation.

- Maximise the re-use of excess materials and coordinate with Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) Transmission project teams on efficient use of previously installed materials along with effective control of waste.

- Support our resource controllers to receipt any products and coordinate deliveries with our Transmission Operational Area Managers.

- Ensure steps are taken to avoid quality control issues and all materials are stored in accordance with manufacturers and SHE specifications.

You have

- Strong interpersonal skills and experience in co-ordinating various activities.

- Strong demonstrable administration and planning experience.

- Commitment to deliver health, safety, environmental and quality excellence.

- Experience in identifying and implementing continuous improvement and visual management.

- Experience in warehouse management/logistics, Environmental and Waste Management functions.
