The Star Brisbane offers a variety of new dining, bars, and unique entertainment options. It also includes a five-star luxury hotel, The Star Grand, and a state-of-the-art Event Centre.

This transformational project has brought even more excitement and anticipation to burgeoning Brisbane. It will redefine how people play, shop, and socialise in the river city. 

We are now recruiting for Safety & Security Professionals, looking to be part of the inaugural team. Interviews will be held in May for a mid-June 2025 start date.

This is a fantastic opportunity where you will showcase your dedicated asset protection and customer service skills throughout our property at The Star Brisbane.

A few of your responsibilities:

  • Maintain a constant vigilance to ensure the safety of patrons, employees and company property and implement effective preventative action to disturbances and theft
  • Maintain a constant vigilance and advise Security and VIP Services management of any disturbances and potential problems
  • Ensure all interaction and communication with patrons is polite and professional
  • Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies and disturbances when required
  • Monitor access into restricted areas at The Star Brisbane

What are we looking for:

  • Qualifications in Responsible Service of Alcohol, QLD Certificate 2 or 3 in Security Operations, including a Crowd Control module & Current Senior First Aid Certificate, including CPR module - essential
  • Current QLD Security License - essential
  • Previous experience in high volume crowd control - highly regarded
  • A high standard of grooming with a professional appearance 
  • Physically capable and have the ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Flexibility to work a 24/7 rotating roster including weekends and public holidays

Bringing your strong security background and keen attention to detail, you will play a key role in creating a safe and memorable experience for our guests. Your collaborative approach and ability to work effectively within a large, diverse team will be essential to the success of our Security team.

About us
