The Regulatory Manager, Strategic Projects, reporting to Senior Manager, Regulatory Affairs, supports The Star Sydney’s transition to carded and cashless gaming by managing various regulatory change requests and coordinating with cross-functional teams to implement the necessary technology and achieve key project milestones.

A few of your responsibilities
- Develop a Regulatory Engagement Plan to support the successful regulatory engagement
- Work with the Casino 2.0 project to develop a comprehensive tracker of all regulatory submissions, applications, notifications or communications required to be made by The Star Sydney
- Develop a timeline for each regulator submission
- Support the business to prepare and submit each regulator submission/notice to a professional standard to obtain regulatory approval
- Support the Senior Manager Regulatory Affairs and Regulatory Affairs teams in interactions with the regulators as well as with other business units within The Star Sydney
What we are looking for
- At least 5 years’ experience in project based work or legal environment
- Excellent written communication
- Proven ability to drive accountability and deliver results
- Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and deadlines
- Experience in a highly regulatory environment preferably within the Casino industry desirable
About you
You will have a background in regulatory management, with a strong understanding of—or a keen interest in—the gaming industry and its regulatory frameworks. Your expertise will lie in supporting the business through periods of transformation, particularly in the adoption and implementation of innovative technologies.
You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure regulatory compliance while helping the business achieve key milestones.
Your role will be pivotal in shaping the success of our Risk and Compliance team at The Star Sydney.
