Join our team as the Receptionist at The Star Brisbane.    

The Star Brisbane is Australia’s newest entertainment hub at the heart of the new Queen’s Wharf Brisbane precinct. The first phase is now open, with more venues and experiences on the way. The Star Brisbane offers a variety of new dining, bars, and unique entertainment options. It also includes a five-star luxury hotel, The Star Grand, and a state-of-the-art Event Centre.   

As our Receptionist, you’ll be the welcoming face of The Star at our Brisbane Corporate Office on William St. In this pivotal role, you will provide exceptional guest service while always maintaining discretion and confidentiality. You will ensure completion of all daily operations associated with the Reception Desk and undertake a range of administration tasks in a professional and welcoming way aligned to The Star’s values and principles.

This is a fantastic opportunity where you will play a pivotal role in representing The Star as the first point of contact and supporting senior leadership in timely responses to queries.

A few of your responsibilities:

  • Greet and respond to visitors with courtesy, respect and discretion
  • Respond to all telephone calls in a prompt and courteous manner
  • Serve as a knowledgeable point of contact for internal team members
  • Forward property emails to relevant department for resolution
  • Perform other related and compatible duties as required, including purchase orders
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support inclusive of meeting scheduling, email management, screening of telephone calls, and other office duties

What we are looking for:

  • Previous administrative experience
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Well-developed organisational skills & the ability to follow structured processes and procedures
  • Capability to prioritise and work autonomously, and demonstrate initiative
  • Advanced computer literacy – comfortable using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word)

You are well-presented, confident and experienced in the range of administrative tasks associated with working on a reception desk. You pride yourself on your ability to stay on top of demands in a fast paced, dynamic environment and understand the importance of creating a memorable first impression. You’re a people person and someone who consistently goes above and beyond to deliver an exceptional experience.
