The Star Brisbane is Australia’s newest entertainment hub at the heart of the new Queen’s Wharf Brisbane precinct. The first phase is now open, with more venues and experiences on the way. The Star Brisbane offers a variety of new dining, bars, and unique entertainment options. It also includes a five-star luxury hotel, The Star Grand, and a state-of-the-art Event Centre.
As our Assistant Front Office Manager you will supervise the operations of the Front Office department ensuring positive internal and external customer relations whilst actively promoting The Star.
A few of your responsibilities:
- Ensure positive and exciting environment where safety, flawless delivery and execution of product excellence and service are paramount.
- Oversee the effectiveness of guest service, employee performances and development and service enhancement.
- Ensure all records, guest and financial documentation are accurately maintained
- Assist with the development, training and performance management of staff
- Implement and monitor guest related service and departmental policies/ procedures in accordance with organisational objectives.
- Performs Night Manager role as required and other duties assigned by Front Office Manager
What we are looking for:
- Demonstrated 5 Star hotel front office or reservations supervisory experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Bilingual/multilingual advantageous
- Computer literacy in Hotel Property Management/Generic Office Systems
- Experience in training & development in a 5 star hotel, desirable
