As our Payroll Team Leader reporting to the Group Manager Payroll Operations, you will be responsible for providing direction to the payroll team and manage payroll activities to ensure accurate and timely completion of payroll processes and compliance with enterprise agreements, policies of management remuneration and statutory requirements.

This is a fantastic opportunity where you will Lead the Payroll team to ensure high levels of team engagement providing learning, developing and stretch opportunities.

A few of your responsibilities:

  • Provide people leadership through coaching, on the job training and performance development of the Payroll team
  • Provide managers with advice and direction for the accurate payroll and superannuation requirements in accordance with Enterprise Agreements, Modern Awards and statutory requirements
  • Ensure accurate completion of payroll processing, third party payments, payroll reporting, fortnightly and monthly reconciliation of Electronic Funds transfers and deductions
  • Prepare regular reports to senior management as required
  • Complete monthly Payroll Tax, Superannuation payments and other third-party activities.

What we are looking for:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or work experience
  • Previous supervisory/management experience
  • Understanding of laws as they relate to the organisation, in particular, casino controls
  • Act and regulations, financial statutory requirements
  • Computer skills (SAP, SuccessFactors system, other major ERP/Word/Excel)
  • Considerable experience in a large payroll environment (1,000 or more employees) in both a Salaried and Award environment.
