The Housekeeping Manager, reporting to the Hotel Operations Manager, will work in close partnership with The Star Grand’s housekeeping team to drive operational excellence and contribute to the achievement of financial and strategic objectives. This role is key to delivering a world-class guest experience and will be responsible for leading, motivating, and managing a large, diverse team whose performance is critical to the success of the business.
A few of your responsibilities
- Oversee and enhance daily housekeeping operations to ensure departmental goals are consistently met
- Establish and communicate daily performance targets for Housekeeping Services Supervisors
- Monitor and manage team attendance, including absenteeism, annual leave, and timekeeping
- Support the implementation of training initiatives and career development programs within the department
- Assist in the recruitment, onboarding, and integration of new team members into The Star Grand housekeeping team
What we are looking for
- Proven experience in a housekeeping management role within a hotel environment
- Strong leadership capabilities with a demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams
- Proficient in using Property Management Systems
- Ability to work autonomously and respond effectively to guest needs and requests
- Skilled in fostering positive working relationships across departments and within the team
