Join our team as a Surveillance Shift Manager at The Star Brisbane.    

The Star Brisbane is Australia’s newest entertainment hub at the heart of the new Queen’s Wharf Brisbane precinct. The first phase is now open, with more venues and experiences on the way. The Star Brisbane offers a variety of new dining, bars, and unique entertainment options. It also includes a five-star luxury hotel, The Star Grand, and a state-of-the-art Event Centre.   

The Surveillance Shift Manager reports directly to the Surveillance Operations Manager and will provide leadership, motivation, coaching and direction for team members to meet departmental objectives.  This is an exciting opportunity to monitor room operations as well as develop and implement strategies to improve the overall surveillance operation of The Star Brisbane.

A few of your responsibilities: 

• Investigate and provide analysis to senior management to assist in asset protection strategies and best practices.
• Coordinate and prioritise the daily operation of the monitor room, as well as review and analyse the day-to-day operational needs.
• Monitor, evaluate and modify the quality and consistency of service within the monitor room to improve service standards.
• Manage the training and career development program for all monitor room team members.

What we are looking for: 

• Comprehensive knowledge of Casino Games.
• Demonstrated surveillance operations experience.
• Strong skills in IT systems including Microsoft Office Suite, Casino Management System (Synkros), Game Connect, Protecht, CID.
• Comprehensive understanding of regulatory and organisational rules, policies and procedures including Casino Control Act & Regulations. 
• Responsible Service of Alcohol & Responsible Service of Gambling qualification.
