The Star Brisbane is looking for a Cashier Services Duty Manager to join the Cashier Team!

This is a 12-month secondment role to support our team with opportunity to extend. It’s a great opportunity to step into a dynamic and supportive environment.

The Star Brisbane is Australia’s newest entertainment hub at the heart of the new Queen’s Wharf Brisbane precinct. The first phase is now open, with more venues and experiences on the way. The Star Brisbane offers a variety of new dining, bars, and unique entertainment options. It also includes a five-star luxury hotel, The Star Grand, and a state-of-the-art Event Centre.  

The Cashier Services Duty Manager reports directly to the Cashier Services Manager and is accountable for the day-to-day co-ordination and administration of the Casino Cages and Keno and the supervision of team members on duty.

A few of your responsibilities:

  • Accountable for entire inventory, including local and foreign currency, coin, cheques, chips, documents & records
  • Establishing & maintaining guest accounts incompliance with the System of accounting and Internal Control
  • Ensuring supervisors and cashiers operate within the guidelines laid down by the Casino Control Act 1982
  • Monitor cash flow to meet business demands and requirements
  • Handled conflict and difficult guest services situations as required

What we are looking for:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Gaming Finance operation, with some experience in a supervisory capacity
  • Good management and interpersonal skills
  • Must be computer literate, with knowledge of gaming systems
  • Thorough knowledge of operation of a Casino Cage
