The Injury Management Specialist, reporting to the Safety Manager, is responsible for coordinating and supporting the rehabilitation and sustainable return to work of team members.
This is a fantastic opportunity where you can put your skills and knowledge to the test to deliver a thrilling new era for our Risk and Compliance team.
A few of your responsibilities
- Build strong relationships with business units and Employee Relations to support effective rehabilitation and return to work outcomes
- Collaborate with third-party claims administrators to ensure smooth injury management and recovery processes
- Provide injury management strategies and regular updates on claim progress and associated costs
- Recommend cost-saving measures to support departmental and company budgets
- Coordinate medical assessments and interpret reports to support early and sustainable return to work
What we are looking for
- 3–5 years’ experience in injury management within a large, multi-purpose organisation
- Tertiary qualification in an allied health or related discipline (desirable)
- Accredited Return to Work Coordinator, in line with state legislation
- Experience with workers’ compensation
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, including NSW Workers’ Compensation Act and associated guidelines
