We have an exciting opportunity available for a Senior Supplier Relationship Manager role to join our team on a secondment at The Star!
 
Position Purpose:
In this role you will be responsible for managing and optimising interactions with suppliers to create both financial and non-financial value for the organisation.
 
Some of your responsibilities:
  • Alignment and Strategy: build closer relationships with strategic/leverage suppliers and The Star’s key stakeholders; deepen interactions beyond transactional level which involves forging partnerships and building trust, mutual understanding and shared objectives to give both parties a better understanding of each other’s goals and opportunities.
  • Strategic Collaboration: lead collaborative relationships with strategic/leverage suppliers and The Star’s key stakeholders to uncover new value.
  • Cost Information: understand suppliers’ operations and cost structures to identify areas for cost reduction whilst still achieving performance objectives.
  • Optimise Value Chain: align supplier operations with The Star key stakeholders’ business strategies to support an increasingly streamlined supply and value chain. Ensure from end-to-end, each link in the chain is visible, functioning efficiently, and contributing to overall business operations.
To be successful in this role you will have:
  • 15+ years procurement experience, facilities management experience highly desirable.
  • Experience assessing change management requirements and implementing change management strategies
  • Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) – Advanced Level Qualification preferred
  • Experience in Contract Law § Ability to use issue trees to analyse complex issues
  • Ability to detect areas of potential fraud and developing strategies to minimise the risk
  • Understanding procurement automation and process environments & solutions
