The Star Brisbane is Australia’s newest entertainment hub at the heart of the new Queen’s Wharf Brisbane precinct. The first phase is now open, with more venues and experiences on the way. The Star Brisbane offers a variety of new dining, bars, and unique entertainment options. It also includes a five-star luxury hotel, The Star Grand, and a state-of-the-art Event Centre.
This transformational project has brought even more excitement and anticipation to burgeoning Brisbane. It will redefine how people play, shop, and socialise in the river city.
As the Director of Premium Services, you will create and implement strategies to grow and deliver our premium guest service operations, ensuring excellence at every touchpoint. You’ll lead a high-performing team, foster strong interdepartmental relationships, and develop guest loyalty programs that drive retention and business growth.
A few of your key responsibilities:
- Lead daily operations to achieve departmental objectives.
- Drive service excellence and operational effectiveness through continuous improvement.
- Oversee the design and delivery of premium domestic player programs.
- Build strong guest relationships to ensure retention, loyalty, and revenue growth.
- Partner with Hotel and F&B teams to deliver seamless premium guest experiences.
- Manage key people initiatives, including performance, rostering, and development.
- Lead and inspire a culture that reflects The Star’s Purpose, Values, and Principles.
What we’re looking for:
- 8+ years’ casino experience, including at least 5 years in a senior guest services role.
- Proven leadership and operational management experience.
- Strong technology and database management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (additional languages highly regarded).
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline (desirable).
- Responsible Gaming Liaison Officer (RGLO) training (preferred).

About us
The $3.6 billion Queen’s Wharf Brisbane development is being delivered by Destination Brisbane Consortium – a joint venture led by The Star Entertainment Group alongside its partners.
When complete, Queen’s Wharf Brisbane will deliver four new luxury hotels, more than 50 new food and beverage experiences, significant luxury retail, the restoration of nine heritage buildings and around 1,500 residential apartments.
