The Position 

We are seeking a hospitality professional to join our Blamey Barracks team as the Sergeant’s Mess Supervisor. This is a hands on, customer focused role, dealing daily with Army personal. The position involves managing the team ensuring compliance across all company standards, polices, procedures and legislative requirements. The Team are dedicated, well established and work competently together.

Key Duties 

  • Overlook all food services, function and conference catering and meal services provided
  • Develop a culture of teamwork, openness, responsibility, and passion for quality
  • Deal with all performance related issues
  • Drive service excellence and continuous improvement
  • Continuing a strong client relationship through exceptional service
  • Drive strong compliance performance supported by safety and quality audits
  • Completion of daily administrative tasks ensuring consistency and accuracy

The Person 

  • Experience working functions or willingness to learn.
  • Ability to understand food safety and infection control principles
  • Familiarity with Food Allergies: Knowledgeable about common food allergies and experienced in handling special dietary requirements to accommodate diverse customer needs.
  • Exceptional Organisational Skills: Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, prioritise workload, and maintain attention to detail.
  • Basic Computer and Software Proficiency: Competent in using computer systems and software applications necessary for daily operations and record-keeping.
  • Positive Attitude: Possessing a positive and proactive mindset, with a strong work ethic and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
