We currently have an opportunity for a dynamic leader to join our ESS business in the capacity of Area Manager.

This customer-focused leadership role is caring for a team of food professionals and facilities staff. As an experienced operator, you will focus on inspiring a team to create amazing customer experiences, whilst also ensuring we run a tight commercial operation. Whilst understanding the commercial nuances of this managerial position is critical to the success of the business; it's brilliant leadership that is well and truly at the epicentre of this role.  The ability to coach teams, deliver amazing service and create an environment in which customers are able to experience the entirety of the ESS experience is conducive to success in this position. Your commitment to safety and respect for our environment is essential to succeed in these key roles.

The Role

  • Manage & lead the running of all aspects of the site
  • Experience managing budgets and demonstrated understanding of food costing, waste management and food/ site safety knowledge
  • Deliver to a high expectation of a premium experience
  • Follow company health, safety, and security procedures always
  • Lead, manage and motivate a large team of chefs and facility staff
  • Manage the expectations of both clients and residents

The Person:

  • Previous experience managing a medium to large site with knowledge of both culinary and cleaning services. This can be previous villages, hotels, or hospitality venues
  • Exceptional communication and relationship building abilities
  • Drive a positive team culture
  • Experience with financial reporting and be commercial and contract focused
  • Demonstrated background of delivering profitable business results
  • Ability to drive stakeholder engagement and deliver superior service levels
  • Display excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong negotiation, problem solving and decision-making skills whilst thinking on your feet
  • In-depth knowledge of health and safety, a strong commitment to safety to ensure targets are safely achieved
  • Sound Knowledge of HACCP
  • Ability to adapt quickly to ongoing business needs
