Australian Federal Police College, based in Barton, ACT
- Full Time Chef - $36.31 per hour
Rotating shifts across 7 days - work 2 weekends in a row, this is a shared rotating roster with another chef - weekend shift is 7.30am to 7pm with a 90 minute break, RDO mid week and then Monday to Friday can be either 05.30-1.30 or 11.30 to 7.30 pm shift
The successful candidate will need to be able to obtain an Australian Federal Police baseline security pass. To be eligible, the candidate will need to be an Australian citizen and be able to provide proof of citizenship.
The Position:
- Prepare buffet style bulk cooking for Breakfast, lunch, & Dinner /Desserts
- You will work within a team to deliver exceptional quality and service
- Adhere to safe work practices and safe food handling procedures
- Ensure all catering controls are in place & wastage is kept to the minimum
- Offer guidance and support to the kitchen team where needed, to ensure a great experience for all customers
- Enhance workplace culture – display high levels of customer service, contribute ideas and be flexible to meet the needs of the business
The Person:
- You will be a qualified Chef with Cert III in Commercial Cookery or Equivalent
- Bulk catering or buffet experience is required
- You will have the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Attention to detail and great time management is a must
- Excellent knowledge of all kitchen procedures and operations
- Excellent knowledge of food safety and able to manage compliance
- Must have own reliable transportation
- All applicants must be able to provide Australian Passport or Australian Birth Certificate + Driver Licence
- Willing to obtain a National Police Check
