IT Solution Manager – Hire to Retire

We’re looking for a strategic IT leader to take full ownership of Compass Group Australia’s Hire to Retire technology ecosystem—covering recruitment, onboarding, talent management, learning, payroll, and offboarding. You’ll be responsible for system performance, innovation, and alignment with our enterprise strategy. 

The Role 
As IT Solution Manager – Hire to Retire, you will: 

• Own and optimise all platforms across the Hire to Retire lifecycle, including recruitment (PageUp, HireVue), onboarding (Buddy), compliance (iComply, CHESS), scheduling (Emprevo, Deputy), payroll (PayGlobal), learning (CompassCollege), and more. 

• Define and deliver the systems roadmap, driving usability, automation, and measurable business value. 

• Oversee vendor governance, including roadmap alignment, version release management, and evaluation of AI-driven features. 

• Partner with People & Safety, Operations, and Technology stakeholders to identify and implement process improvements. 

• Drive automation, digitisation, and system rationalisation to enhance efficiency, compliance, and user experience. 

• Stay ahead of market and competitor trends to ensure platforms remain fit-for-purpose and competitive. 

• Champion change management and stakeholder engagement throughout integration and optimisation initiatives. 

What You’ll Bring 

• 5+ years’ experience in system ownership, digital transformation, or enterprise platform optimisation. 

• Proven experience managing HR technology or Hire to Retire systems. 

• Strong vendor management skills, including roadmap influence and governance. 

• Knowledge of automation tools, low-code/no-code platforms, and RPA (desirable). 

• Exceptional stakeholder engagement and relationship-building capability. 

• Strategic thinking with a focus on simplification, innovation, and user experience.
