Our Lounge teams work in some of the world’s most renowned airport lounges across Australia, providing first class hospitality to travellers looking for a touch of luxury, sophistication, and the highest service standards that our country has to offer. The roles will see you interacting with local and international guests, and no two days will ever be the same.

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Head Chef to lead food production and service in a premium airline lounge at Brisbane International Airport.

THE POSITION

• Planning, supervising, and monitoring food production aligned with a rotating menu
• Working in a state-of-the-art kitchen, implementing a simple, high-quality menu and putting key systems and processes in place
• Overseeing stock control, budgets, rosters, and staff management
• Maintaining high standards of food hygiene, safety, and cleanliness in line with Compass Group protocols
• Delivering a premium experience that meets and exceeds client and customer expectations
• Building strong relationships with suppliers to ensure quality and cost-efficiency
• Leading efforts to minimise food waste and maintain efficient stock levels
• Mentoring, training, and supporting your team for ongoing success

THE PERSON 

• A minimum Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
• Proven leadership experience in a Head Chef or similar role
• A strong understanding of allergen management and food safety standards
• Passion for healthy, sustainable food and a commitment to using local produce
• A high attention to detail, with finesse in plating and presentation
• Financial acumen related to labour management and cost control
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
• A proactive, hands-on approach with a focus on preparation, planning, and putting strong systems in place

Please note: The successful candidate must be able to pass an ASIC security clearance background check.
