The Position:
- Assist chefs with basic food preparation and kitchen tasks in a fast-paced alpine resort kitchen
- Maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment, including dishwashing and general cleaning duties
- Follow food safety and hygiene procedures, including allergen awareness and infection control
- Help with receiving and storing deliveries, ensuring correct stock rotation
- Support the team during busy service times with a can-do attitude
- Work cooperatively with chefs and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations
The Person:
- Previous experience working in a commercial kitchen or similar fast-paced environment
- Reliable, hardworking, and able to follow directions from chefs and supervisors
- Takes pride in maintaining a clean, organised, and hygienic workspace
- Willingness to learn and support with basic food prep when required
- Understanding of safe food handling, hygiene practices, and allergen awareness
- Positive attitude and a strong team player
