• Fulltime – fixed term three-month contract with possibility of extension

• Shifts rostered over seven days (6am – 2.30pm)

The Position 

We are currently seeking to appoint a qualified and experienced Cook to join our hospital team based at Waratah NSW. Key responsibilities of this role include the preparation and cooking of patient meals via the cook/chill method and will require a strong working knowledge of safe food handling and infection control principles.

 The Person

• Experienced and qualified with a minimum Certificate III Commercial Cookery qualification
• Strong knowledge and experience applying HACCP principles
• Previous experience working in a healthcare cooking role is highly favourable
• Excellent knowledge of allergens and dietary requirements
• Ability to work autonomously
• Great attention to detail and time management
• Excellent knowledge of all kitchen procedures and operations
• Is available to work rostered shifts over weekends and public holidays
