Bid Manager - Urban | Compass Group Australia

Join a high-performing team driving strategic growth across our Urban sector. As Bid Manager, you’ll lead end-to-end tender processes, shaping compelling, client-focused solutions that win complex, high-value contracts. You’ll partner closely with sales, operations and executive stakeholders to deliver submissions that are commercially sharp, differentiated and aligned to Compass’ purpose - owning timelines, quality and outcomes from start to finish.

You’ll bring strong leadership capability, guiding Proposal Coordinators and Managers while building a best-in-class bid function. This is a hands-on role where you’ll balance strategy with delivery - leading bid responses, managing stakeholder engagement, supporting client presentations and creative signoff whilst continuously improving bid processes to lift performance, efficiency and win rates.

What you’ll be doing:

• Lead and project manage complex bid submissions across a diverse portfolio
• Develop client-focused, commercially competitive solutions and tender responses
• Manage timelines, governance, risk and submission quality
• Partner with senior stakeholders to shape winning bid strategies
• Lead and mentor a high-performing proposals team
• Drive continuous improvement across bid processes and outcomes

About You:

• 3-4 years’ experience in bid management or project coordination
• Experience within contract catering, facilities management or soft services
• Must have a creative approach plus understanding of how to influence through the power of storytelling
• Strong project management, planning and delivery capability
• Proven ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders
• Excellent written, presentation and commercial acumen
• High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
