ESS Defence provides food service and hospitality support to Defence sites across Australia. We deliver high quality meals that support the wellbeing of Australian Defence Force personnel.

We are seeking experienced Chefs to join our teams at Holsworthy Super Mess and Moorebank Area – Junior Rank Mess. Opportunities are available across Full-Time, Part-Time and Casual rosters, making this an ideal opportunity for chefs seeking stable employment, work-life balance or flexible work arrangements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare high-quality meals in a bulk cooking environment
• Maintain food safety, hygiene and HACCP standards
• Support stock control, deliveries and kitchen operations
• Ensure quality, portion control and food presentation
• Work collaboratively as part of a professional kitchen team
• Contribute to efficient service delivery during busy meal periods

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
• Experience in commercial kitchens or catering environments
• Knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Reliable, team-focused and able to work in structured environments
• Ability to obtain and maintain a National Police Check and Defence clearance
