Senior Sous Chef

$95,000 Base Salary + 12% Superannuation

  • Convenient North Ryde location — Monday to Friday or Sunday to Thursday Roster

We are searching for a Senior Sous Chef — not just a great chef, but a driven leader ready to step into a senior position with real accountability, influence, and a clear pathway into future leadership within Compass Group.

THE POSITION

  • Lead and influence a high-volume, premium food operation
  • Set standards across quality, culture, and performance
  • Contribute to a dynamic, evolving food program with a global flavour lens
  • Oversee VIP dining and event execution, including agile menu development
  • Drive team productivity, structure, and operational efficiency
  • Act as a trusted 2IC to the Head Chef, supporting leadership and growth
  • Maintain control across food safety, compliance, and cost performance

THE PERSON

  • 5+ years in a senior culinary leadership role
  • Background in corporate catering, events, fine dining, or large-scale production
  • Strong leadership presence — able to drive standards and performance
  • Highly organised and commercially aware
  • Confident delivering premium dining and VIP experiences
  • Solid knowledge of digital HACCP, allergen management, and compliance
  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to challenge, adapt, and grow
