Associate Buyer - Services Procurement | SYD MEL BNE

Through Foodbuy, our procurement business partners with suppliers and clients to create value, drive efficiencies and deliver exceptional service outcomes. The Associate Buyer role supports sourcing, supplier management and procurement operations across multiple categories nationally.

Join our high-performing procurement team and play a key role in the non-food services category, supporting the sourcing and management of suppliers across a broad range of service categories.

Job Responsibilities
  

  • Manage supplier onboarding process and compliance.
  • Collaborate with and support the Senior Buyer and Category Manager
  • Populate and submit RFQs, RFPs and tender activities for review and final draft.
  • Maintain procurement systems, data and reporting. 
  • Work closely with stakeholders to deliver efficient, customer-focused solutions 
  • Become vendor and category management subject matter expert 

Experience

  • Min 2-3 years in procurement with junior buying or sourcing experience 
  • Exposure to a formal or mature purchasing environment. 
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and commercial awareness 
  • Understanding of pricing models and supply & demand and macro-economics 
  • Operations knowledge or experience in logistics, supply chain or support services an advantage 
  • Experience with ERP systems and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel 
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and build strong supplier relationships.
