Your opportunity
As Senior Manager Financial Crime Assurance, you’ll sit at the centre of our risk function, leading assurance activity that keeps our controls strong, scalable and ready for scrutiny. From external evaluations to internal assurance programs, your work will directly influence how we protect our business, customers and reputation. This is an opportunity to lead a high-impact team and shape assurance outcomes across a complex and evolving financial crime environment.
Your role
Reporting to the Head of Financial Crime Strategy and Compliance, you’ll lead our assurance approach across the financial crime ecosystem. You’ll combine leadership, analysis and commercial judgement to ensure our controls are effective, our programs are fit for purpose, and senior stakeholders have clear, actionable insight. Specifically, you will:
- Lead a quality assurance team delivering ongoing transactional assurance across financial crime controls
- Oversee independent evaluations of financial crime controls delivered in partnership with external providers
- Drive an internal assurance program assessing the design and effectiveness of financial crime controls
- Translate assurance findings into clear, practical insights for senior leadership decision making
- Prepare executive and Board-ready reporting highlighting key risks, themes and opportunities
- Partner with stakeholders across risk, compliance and operations to strengthen control outcomes and uplift capability
What you'll need to succeed
You’re someone who brings clarity to complexity and drives continuous improvement. You know how to balance detail with strategic thinking, and you’re confident leading teams while building strong relationships across the business. You’re also comfortable engaging senior stakeholders and influencing assurance priorities across a complex environment. You will also bring:
- Significant experience across financial crime risk, compliance and/or assurance functions
- Proven experience designing and delivering assurance programs across complex control environments
- Strong leadership capability, with experience coaching and developing high-performing teams
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders through clear, practical and commercially balanced insight
- Excellent written communication skills, including executive and Board-level reporting
- Strategic thinking and a continuous improvement mindset
