Your role in action 

As a Senior Data Scientist within our Trading and Data team, you will play a key role in shaping how we use data to make smarter decisions. Reporting into a senior leader, you will lead end-to-end data science projects and deliver models that directly influence customer experience and a measurable business impact. 

  • Lead end-to-end data science projects from problem framing to deployment 

  • Build and optimise machine learning models to solve complex business problems involving customer propensity, lifetime value, and behavioural segmentation. 

  • Translate data insights into clear, actionable recommendations for stakeholders 

  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to integrate models into production 

  • Drive experimentation and statistical analysis to improve performance and outcomes 

  • Mentor peers and contribute to best practice across data science ways of working 

What you'll need to succeed 

You’re an experienced data scientist who has worked on large-scale business challenges and understands how to turn data into real outcomes. You bring strong technical capability, commercial thinking, and the confidence to influence and collaborate across teams. 

  • Experienced in Python and SQL for data analysis and modelling 

  • Hands-on with machine learning frameworks such as scikit-learn or TensorFlow 

  • Familiar with cloud platforms and tools such as AWS, Databricks or MLflow 

  • Strong understanding of statistics, experimentation, and data-driven decision making 

  • Proven capability deploying machine learning models into production environments 

  • Ability to translate complex problems into practical, scalable data science solutions 

  • Background in a high frequency, high volume decision domain a bonus
