What you’ll be doing:

As Senior Manager, Airline Products your role is to lead a team which is responsible for the strategy, commercial performance, product management and optimisation of an existing range of airline products and services (excluding food & beverage, wifi sold onboard, and walk up lounge passes) which compliment Virgin Australia’s market positioning and customer value proposition. This includes P&L Management, revenue targets and pricing responsibility for all airline products.

You’ll be great in this role if you:

• Have 5+ years experience in a product management role in a service industry, travel or financial services field
• Come with demonstrated results in highly commercial environments including revenue and/or P&L accountability. Experience in building and measuring v business cases.
• Have 2+ years experience in leading and developing Product Management Teams (digital or product)
• Come from a solid Digital and/or Product Pricing Optimisation background
• Can comfortably collaborate and effectively influence stakeholders in complex organisations
• Enjoying a ‘data-first’ approach to problem solving and prioritisation
• Have a hands on ability to run and analyse data (BI, adobe analytics, excel), converting to insights and actions
• Can communicate complex thoughts and ideas clearly including data-driven recommendations
• Are a natural with e-commerce and digital product management processes and practices
• Have knowledge of the global Airline industry ancillary product market
• Have a Degree qualification in Business or related discipline
• Come with previous airline industry experience (desirable)
• Have previously worked in consultancy (desirable)
• Can work with a white label website (desirable)
• Have knowledge in agile tools and Project management software e.g. JIRA (desirable)
• Understand airline reservation and distribution systems - in particular Sabre (desirable)
