Fleet Standards Manager – Boeing 737

What you’ll be doing

The Fleet Standards Manager plays a critical role in developing and maintaining the highest operational and safety standards across the Virgin Australia Flight Crew. This position supports the Head of Training and Standards in leading the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of the airline’s training and standards framework.

Key responsibilities include developing and implementing robust flight crew entry and recurrent assessment programs, ensuring ongoing quality assurance, and driving excellence in performance standards. The role also oversees the training and standardisation of flight crew check and training personnel, guaranteeing consistency and compliance across all processes.

Ultimately, the Fleet Standards Manager ensures that every training and assessment program meets regulatory requirements, fosters operational excellence, and upholds the safety culture that defines Virgin Australia.

You’ll be great in this role if you…

• Hold an ATPL and a current Boeing 737 Command Qualification
• Flight Examiner Rating with IR endorsement on a Boeing 737 aircraft
• Relevant Check or Training experience
• Proven experience in building effective check and training programmes
• High level of operational experience
• Strong communication skills
