And to do that, it takes a team of talented people who are passionate about customer experience, doing the right thing always, with a focus on safety – in the air, on the ground and in our workplaces. A team who values real diversity and inclusion, in a big brand with big ambitions.

What you’ll be doing

The Senior Analyst Workforce Planning Strategy & Transformation position is pivotal in ensuring the optimal balance of operational resources required to deliver a safe, efficient, and customer-centric flight schedule. You will leverage data analytics and modelling to support strategic decision making, evaluate transformation initiatives, and provide actionable insights.

In this role, you will:

  • Build and maintain accurate resource and budget planning models and long term horizons (6+months)
  • Apply statistical modelling to assess impacts of schedule changes, headcount, productivity, basing strategies, and fatigue management
  • Conduct critical analysis of transformational initiatives, including benefit valuation and tracking
  • Develop and automate reporting on costs, productivity, and capacity using tools such as Excel, Power BI, R, or Python
  • Research industry trends and operational methodologies to drive continuous improvement
  • Partner with multiple departments within the business to deliver resource plans
  • Prepare executive level reports and presentations for senior management within tight timeframes
  • Identify and implement process improvements, develop business cases, and update procedures as required

You’ll be great in this role if you have…

  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline (Data Science, Analytics preferred)
  • Proven experience supporting strategic decision making through data analytics
  • Strong background in solving complex technical problems in fast paced operational environments
  • Exposure to workforce planning, rostering, or transformational/cost reduction programs
  • Intermediate coding ability in R, Python or Power BI
  • Expertise in resource and budget planning within operational contexts
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to work autonomously
  • Understanding of resource planning methodologies and airline operations

We’re committed to looking after you, with some of the best benefits and conditions in the industry – including (but not limited to):

  • Discounted flights for you and your loved ones (including $1000 worth of travel credits per year)
  • A flexible, hybrid work style. Work from home or the office, adapt your location to suit your style and needs
  • One of Brisbane’s most admired head office locations, with South Bank train station, a supermarket, pharmacy, and lunch options downstairs plus a 5-minute walk to the Busway, a rooftop restaurant and onsite gym (with a low membership fee) and South Bank Parklands just across the road
  • Discounts on travel insurance, lounge membership, car hire, accommodation, and experiences worldwide
  • Cheaper hospitality, retail, technology, beauty and wellness services
  • Free counselling and access to a wellbeing app to support your physical, mental, social and financial health
  • ‘Dress for Your Day’ – enjoy the freedom to wear whatever makes you feel great for the type of work you do and the day you have ahead of you.
