The Legal Adviser - Technology role is a full-time permanent position, open to candidates based in Sydney, Melbourne or Perth.

The role reports to the Senior Legal Manager – Corporate, Finance & Technology. Responsibilities include providing advice on IT and technology contracts, software and technology procurement projects, licensing, intellectual property, as well as commercial contracts and commercial law matters.

The role will also work with the CASG, Finance/Strategy, and P&C teams; and offers the successful candidate the opportunity to enhance their Business Partnering experience across Technology, CASG, Finance/Strategy, and P&C workstreams.

Ideally, the successful candidate would have the following:

• Law degree and admitted to practice in an Australian jurisdiction
• Current practicing certificate
• Experience in: (i) general commercial contracting, corporate and commercial law; or (ii) ICT contracting, software & technology procurement projects, SaaS Contracting and arrangements, licensing and intellectual property, data security, cybersecurity, privacy and information management
• Strong work ethic, curiosity and critical thinking skills with a high attention to detail and excellent communication skills
• A proven ability to operate as a Business Partner
• A proven ability to manage competing workloads in a fast-paced environment while identifying risks and supporting the business in risk management
