This is a full-time permanent role based in Melbourne.

The Alinta Customer Operations function is a critical component of Retail Energy’s overall Retail Lifecycle management, delivery, and optimisation.

Customer Operations is responsible for identifying/capturing, defining, and prioritising for build, capabilities that best enable Alinta to manage its Retail business in a manner that is compliant, functional and maximises customer and commercial value.

Reporting to the Value Stream Manager, as the Billing & Metering Product Owner, you will hold ultimate responsibility for ensuring that all product development within the Billing & Metering domain meets customer and business needs and is fully compliant with all regulatory requirements.

This role requires:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on identifying and delivering optimisation opportunities.
  • Proven ability to manage diverse stakeholders across business, technical, and vendor teams to drive successful outcomes.
  • Experienced in leading and supporting change initiatives, including articulating value and tracking post-implementation benefits.
  • Skilled in collaboration and communication, working effectively with cross-functional teams in dynamic environments.
  • Customer-focused approach, applying Human-Centred Design (HCD) principles to deliver impactful, user-driven solutions.
