An internal opportunity is now available for the role of GM Treasury & Tax, based in our Sydney Office.

This senior leadership role sits within the Finance Business Pillar and reports directly to the CFO. It oversees and leads the Group’s Treasury and Tax functions, driving strategy and execution across debt funding, capital management, liquidity, financial risk, and tax compliance.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Leading Alinta’s debt capital management strategy, including corporate and project financing for new energy assets such as windfarms, batteries, and hydro generation.
• Overseeing Treasury compliance, ensuring alignment with Board-approved policies and mentoring the Treasury team.
• Managing the Tax function, including compliance, risk management, and strategic tax advice across projects and M&A.
• Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners, including banks, investors, and rating agencies.
• Championing collaboration and communication across Treasury, Tax, and Business Units.
• Supporting a culture of Zero Harm and environmental responsibility through HSE leadership.

This role requires:

• Significant experience in corporate Treasury, banking, or debt advisory, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• A Master’s degree in a finance-related field.
• Proven experience in debt transactions, credit rating maintenance, and presenting to Boards.
• Strong commercial acumen, analytical capability, and leadership adaptability.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
