Join Alinta Energy’s Finance team as the Business Controller for our Merchant Energy business unit. You’ll lead financial reporting, statutory audits, and month-end processes while partnering with senior leaders to drive performance and continuous improvement.

What you’ll do

• Lead the financial accounting processes for Merchant Energy
• Drive month-end close improvement processes
• Use your knowledge of the business to perform cash flow forecasting across multiple entities
• Guide and develop a team of accountants to deliver performance excellence
• Partnering with commercial teams to enhance business outcomes
• Contributing to a culture of Zero Harm and environmental responsibility

Your experience

• CA/CPA qualified with 10+ years in financial accounting or commercial
• Proven leadership in complex finance environments
• Strong accounting and analytical skills
• Experience in energy/utilities or Big 4 audit highly desirable
• Skilled in financial modelling, process improvement, and stakeholder engagement
