About the role
The Finance Manager will be responsible for monitoring and reporting on the performance of Power Development and New Markets, and providing finance support including reporting, budgeting, forecasting, analysis and transaction/business case support. This is a highly visible role in the Generation & Development Finance team and will engage with senior stakeholders including the Chief Development Officer, Program Directors and business heads . In this role, you will provide commercial and financial leadership, guidance and strategic support to the Power Development and New Markets businesses and support the successful delivery of the Alinta Development Pipeline. This role will have three direct reports.

What you’ll do
As a business partner, you will provide commercial and financial guidance to the Power Development and New Markets businesses, ensuring successful delivery of the Alinta Development Pipeline
Collaborate with senior stakeholders including the Chief Development Officer, Program Directors and business heads, to influence and drive financial targets, support decision-making, and provide financial insights
Manage financial performance, develop transparent management reporting, and optimise the use of PowerBI for effective project control
Ensure accurate accounting of projects, identify potential risks, and contribute to strategies addressing issues to deliver projects on time and within budget
Lead and develop a high-performing team, foster a culture of innovation, and continuously seek ways to improve productivity and effectiveness
Your experience
Significant experience in the full range of financial activities and capital projects
Relevant tertiary qualifications in accounting, business, commerce or finance
CPA/CA or MBA
Exceptional stakeholder relationship management
Strong commercial acumen and experience presenting regularly to senior stakeholders
Ability to work well in a team
Leadership and energy industry experience is preferred
Please note this role requires Australian or New Zealand Citizenship, or Australia Permanent Residency.
This role is best suited to a proactive team player with an interest in large scale development projects and a strong track record of relationship building across a variety of stakeholders.
