Technical Specialist

We are looking for a Technical Specialist to provide support to several Western Sydney concrete plants, primarily in product design and management across technically challenging supply markets. This role will maintain key working relationships with various internal business units, as well as external stakeholders to ensure that we provide our customers with excellent product solutions. This is a varied role with a large scope and the opportunity to develop professionally and build a career with us.

Your day will involve: 

  • Engagement with customers to provide technical solutions to complex design challenges
  • Provision of technical support to Sales and Operations teams to enhance Boral’s product offering and quality
  • Analysis and review of Boral’s concrete product performance, modification of products where required and development of new products to meet customer requirements
  • Involvement in the specification and tender review process to ensure our product offering meets our customers’ requirements.
  • Supporting trial mix/RnD programs including development of new products, assessment of raw materials and registration of products to under recognized industry schemes

What are we looking for? 

  • A current driver’s license as travel between sites is a requirement of this role
  • Construction Materials industry experience
  • Strong computer skills including Advance MS Excel skills and formal report writing using MS Word
  • Proven experience in a Concrete Technical role
