The IT Supply Chain Application Lead is responsible for leading the day-to-day support and operational continuity of supply chain applications across the enterprise. This role ensures timely issue resolution, proactive system monitoring, and continuous improvement across key systems used in Concrete, Cement, Asphalt, Quarries, Recycling   logistics, inventory, and HV transport. Acting as a senior technical resource and point of escalation, this role provides hands-on application support, coordinates incident resolution, and collaborates with business stakeholders, vendors, and internal IT teams to maintain service excellence and system performance.

Your day will involve:

  • Lead and coordinate the support of supply chain-related applications (e.g., Command Alkon product suite including Command V3, Apex, Command 2023, Telematics, COMMANDbatch), acting as the primary escalation point for complex technical issues and critical incidents.
  • Provide hands-on investigation, diagnosis, and resolution of application-related problems and service requests, ensuring incidents and requests are managed in accordance with SLA and ITIL best practices.
  • Work closely with operational business users to identify system issues and deliver practical solutions and enhancements based on information gathering.
  • Collaborate with developers, infrastructure teams, and vendors for escalated support and system integration matters.
  • Maintain and update application documentation, including system configurations, support procedures, and knowledge base articles.
  • Support the rollout of application changes, patches, upgrades, and new functionality, ensuring proper testing and user impact assessments.
  • Assist in root cause analysis and post-incident reviews, contributing to long-term issue prevention strategies.
  • Monitor system performance and conduct regular health checks on critical supply chain platforms and support integration between systems (e.g critical applications, telematics, and dispatch platforms).
  • Mentor and support Application Engineers, promoting knowledge sharing and continuous improvement within the team.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Systems, Supply Chain, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Demonstrated experience in application support, with some exposure to supply chain systems and leading a team.
  • Experience in incident, change, and problem management processes with ITIL Foundation certification preferred and familiarity with IT service management tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira).
  • Experience in a manufacturing, logistics, or distribution environment is a plus.
  • Strong functional understanding of supply chain processes, including, logistics, Concrete operations, manufacturing and transport.
  • Experience supporting enterprise applications such as Oracle, MS-SQL, Linux, Unix, Microsoft Servers, Cloud infra, Citrix, system reporting.
  • Skilled in application support and troubleshooting, with a methodical and customer-focused approach.
  • Working knowledge of system integration, middleware, and data flow across applications.
  • Attention to Detail – ensures accuracy and precision in coding, testing, and documentation.
