This is a great opportunity to join our busy corporate communications team working hard to support our council departments in providing quality communications for our growing City!

Reporting to one of our three Principal Communications Officers, you will be working closely with the various departments throughout our organisation to provide expert advice and partner with those subject matter experts to develop strategic communication plans.

As a senior in the team, we will look to you as a source of mentorship and guidance as we strive to provide best practice processes and high quality content that promotes our organisation, the Mayor and Councillors.

This is an opportunity to be involved in the strategic communication planning for such a great diversity of topics.  Where else but Local Government will you support strategic communications for Local Laws, Planning, Waste Services, Economic Development, Sport and Recreation, Community Facilities, Libraries... and so much more!

About you

Are you an experienced marketing and communications professional excited by the prospect of working on a variety of projects, some of which directly impact and influence our local community?

With your experience planning and delivering communication strategies and projects in a corporate environment, and ability to deliver a consistently high standard of written communication, stakeholder engagement, collateral and reporting, you will quickly become a valuable member of our team.

In addition to being a natural communicator, you will be adaptable and agile as no day will be the same.  With a forensic eye for detail and experience and enthusiasm for turning complicated topics/research/analysis into more easily comprehended messages for target audiences, this role will be a great next challenge for you!
