  • 2 Positions: 1 x Fire Safety services, 1 x Asbestos services
  • Permanent Full Time | 9 day fortnight 
  • $94,415 pa (includes industry allowance and uniform allowance) + 12% super (level 5)
    Great news - EBA6 currently is underway, with a proposed increase of 5% effective 1 July 2025
  • 72.5 hour fortnight
  • Hybrid, flexible working environment, including some work from home days.
  • Location: Narangba

About the role 

Our Buildings and Facilities group take care of the operational and contract management maintenance across more than 1800 buildings in our region. We're currently looking for two Technical Officers to join our Contracts & Compliance team, to manage the Fire Management, and Asbestos contracts.

  • As a Technical Officer you will develop and and review procurement, tender and contract documentation, and develop and implement a suite of technical standards to inform and guide maintenance practices and contract delivery. You'll also:
  • Act as the lead in investigations, audits and analysis of relevant outcomes
  • Manage projects and contracts including the performance of contractors and subcontractors
  • Act as the lead in the establishing quality management systems to support service delivery outcomes and contract administration
  • Build high level relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Act as the key point of contact and provide technical advice for all building and facilities’ matters that relate to Fire Management or Asbestos Safety Compliance.

About you

We're looking for your experience providing specialist admin and operational advice to stakeholders, and experience applying technical expertise in project and contract management and delivery.  Bring your ability to review buildings and facilities maintenance contracts and skills to identification and manage risk related to Fire Management or Asbestos.

  • Tertiary qualification in building and construction or other relevant field (desirable)
  • Current C Class Driver’s Licence (required)
  • Construction Induction Card (required, or willing to obtain).

Depending on your preferred role, you'll also bring a Fire Safety Advisor Statement of Attainment (or obtained within six months), OR Certificate of Competency in ‘Conducting Asbestos Assessment associated with Removal’ (or willingness to obtain within six months).
