The details:

  • 2 Permanent Full Time positions | 9 day fortnight
  • $76,710pa + 12% super (level 2)
  • 72.5 hour fortnight
  • Hybrid, flexible working environment, including some work from home days.
  • Location: Strathpine

Join City of Moreton Bay as a Rates and Property Officer and help shape and enhance our communities for today and tomorrow.

As one of our Rates and Property Officer, you will be part of the Financial Services Team and be responsible for updating and reviewing property and rating related data to facilitate the timely and accurate issue of rates notices to property owners in the region. This position provides outstanding service to our internal and external customers when responding to requests and enquiries relating to property and rating.

You will undertake a range of tasks to create and maintain property, rating and customer records within the corporate property and rating system, as well as:

  • assist with the completion of regular audit activities and compliance checking
  • support in processing of new property subdivisions, new valuations or amendments, and the issuing of supplementary and quarterly rates notices; and
  • liaise with internal and external customers, providing sound advice.

About you

You will have prior experience in a rating and property services role, or experience in an administration environment involving high volume data with a high degree of accuracy. You will bring your exceptional attention to detail and time management skills to this role and have strong communication and well-developed people and relationships skills to contribute to a positive work environment.

In addition, you will have:   

  • excellent interpersonal skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage with stakeholders; and
  • proficient skills with the Microsoft Office suite; and
  • the ability to quickly become up to speed with the specific systems used in Council (TechnologyOne)
